Nestled between Brisbane and the Sunshine coast, the award winning Bribie Beach Shack adjacent to Bribie Island is set on 2 kilometres of white sandy beach in a purpose built facility. Licensed for over 40 different vessels, Bribie Beach Shack offers the best price BBQ boats and Fishing boats that do not require a boat license, as well as a selection of higher powered boats that do require a boat license for hire charter rental. The Beach Shack boat operational area in the Pumicestone Passage between the mainland at Sandstone Point and Bribie Island offers the largest range of any operator with a 30 kilometre round trip area for unlicensed vessel operators and over 50 kilometres for those with a boat license. The area is classified as a Marine Park, so aside from great fishing, you may see dolphins, turtles and dugongs. We also have specific hire boats suitable for crabbing, for fishing, for cruising, and for larger groups our BBQ boat hire. 

Our team at the Bribie Beach Shack will do all the hard work for you - launch and retrieve your hire boat from the boat ramp just in front of our location in Sandstone Point, Bribie Island.  

All safety equipment is provided including lifejackets for children older than 12 months. 

We are located in a Marine Park, so are unable to allow pets on our boats. 

As we need to arrange staff for your vessel preparation, launch, retrieval, payment for the boat hires are non-refundable for change of mind within 24 hours of departure time. Outside of the 24 hours of departure time and with prior notice and arrangement, we can easily move your booking to any other date within a generous 12 month period from your original booking date. If the booking is still not used within this 12 month timeline and no correspondence exists from the original booking party within the 12 month period from the original booking date requesting a further new date, then any fees paid will be forfeited and all bookings cancelled. 

A failure to show for your booking within 1 hour after the agreed pick-up time, with no prior notification (email, Phone call, txt etc) or reasoning, will be classified as a no-show and result in immediate cancellation of the hire and loss of all payments as the vessel hire is deemed a total loss and cannot be re-hired on that day for that time slot. 

Boat hire cancellations on our part will only be if the wind is outside of the vessel operating parameters or if we deem the weather unsafe. In this instance, we will work with you to either reschedule your booking within the next 12 months, or provide a refund.  

Bribie Beach Shack also sells Promotional vouchers for all of their services, please note that as prices can change and boats do change, the vouchers have an expiration date being either 6 months or 12 months from the date of purchase, giving you plenty of time to use. The expiration date will be written on the Voucher and agreed at the time of sale with the purchaser. If you have any issues in meeting the expiration date for whatever reason, as long as you write to us prior to the original voucher expiration date, we will contact you in return and the promotional voucher may be extended upto a further 3 months, at the discretion of Bribie Beach Shack 

Promotional vouchers are available for Christmas, Birthdays, Fathers day, Mothers day and Easter. This will be written on the front of the voucher with the expiration date

Bribie Beach Shack has 

• single kayaks (100kg maximum weight) and
• double kayaks (200kg maximum weight)

for individual and group hire in Bribie Island, Sandstone Point.

Lifejackets are provided with all hires. 

All hires are weather and tide conditions permitting.  

Group bookings of 5 or more people may incur additional fees.

Minimum age limits apply.
